Copyright and Content Removal
Version 2026-09-08. Effective 2026-09-08
World Crochet Map respects the rights of creators. Members keep the rights to the photos and texts they publish and confirm they own them. If you believe content on the service infringes your copyright, trademark or other rights, or is otherwise illegal, use the procedure below. It implements the notice-and-action rules of the EU Digital Services Act and is designed to work with equivalent regimes such as the US DMCA.
How to send a notice
Use the Report content form or write to mapelote.fr@gmail.com with: - the link (URL) or a precise description of the content concerned; - the work or right you say is infringed, and proof that you hold it or represent the holder; - why the use is not authorised; - your name and a way to contact you; - a statement that you believe in good faith that the information is accurate and that you are entitled to act.
Notices that are complete are handled faster. Knowingly false notices may expose you to liability and repeated abusive notices may be ignored.
What happens next
We acknowledge receipt, review the notice diligently and objectively, and decide whether to remove or restrict the content. We aim to act within 7 days for clear cases and faster for urgent ones. We inform the author of the content of the decision and its reasons (without revealing your personal data unless legally required), and the author can send a counter-statement. Both parties can contest a decision by writing to mapelote.fr@gmail.com; disputes may also be brought before the competent courts or an out-of-court dispute settlement body.
Repeat infringers
Members who repeatedly publish infringing content are banned from the service.
