About - World Crochet Map
A single living map of everyone who crochets, anywhere on Earth. Add your dot, discover makers across borders, and watch the world light up stitch by stitch.
What the World Crochet Map is
The World Crochet Map is one public map that shows where crochet lives. Every dot was added by someone who chose to join the map (a maker, a hobbyist, a shop owner, a teacher) placed near their city rather than at their door; we don't generate fictional profiles. Nothing on this map is generated or invented: if a dot is there, someone added it. Browsing is free, no account is needed, and the map works the same way from every country.
Privacy first, by design
We ask for as little as possible. Your position is kept at city level, so your dot means “somewhere around this city”. Never your street or your home. The name shown is the one you choose to display, new arrivals are announced without any name, and you can update or remove your dot at any time with your personal link.
The story behind World Crochet Map

World Crochet Map began with a simple thought: millions of people around the world share a love of crochet, yet many will never know how close they are to one another.
I'm Vincent, the founder of World Crochet Map. I'm not a crocheter myself, but through my wife Flore, I discovered a world of extraordinary creativity, generosity and passion.
I created this map because I wanted to make that invisible community visible.
What started as a small idea has become something far greater than I ever imagined. And every new person who joins makes it a little more special.
The world was already full of crocheters. I simply wanted them to find each other.
