Community Guidelines

Treat every member as you would at a yarn shop table. Disagreement is fine; insults, harassment, threats, discrimination or hate based on origin, religion, gender, sexual orientation, disability, age or any other characteristic are not.

Publish photos of crochet work you made yourself, or that you have the right to share. Do not post someone else's photos, patterns or designs as yours. Never publish another person's name, address, phone, e-mail or photo without their consent. Children must not be identifiable in photos.

• No sexual or pornographic content, no nudity.
• No violence, self-harm or dangerous activities.
• No illegal content, no promotion of illegal products or activities.
• Nothing that sexualises or endangers minors. This is reported to the authorities.
• You must be at least 16 to publish content.

Chat rooms and notes are for conversation, not promotion. Links are not allowed in chat messages. Do not send repeated or automated messages, phishing, fake offers or affiliate schemes. Shops and designers are welcome to present themselves on their own dot or professional profile.

The "open to meet" option and the map can help you find crochet friends nearby. Be careful as you would with any online contact: meet in public places, tell someone, and never share sensitive information. The operator does not verify identities and is not involved in meetings.

Use the report button or the Report content page. Depending on the seriousness, content may be hidden or removed, a member may be warned, restricted or banned, and illegal content may be reported to the authorities. You can contest a decision by writing to mapelote.fr@gmail.com.
