How the map grows
The World Crochet Map grows one person at a time. Someone adds their dot, shares it with their crochet friends, and a new city lights up. No algorithm decides who is visible: every dot carries the same weight, whether it comes from a capital or from a village of two hundred people. The rankings simply show where crocheters have gathered so far, and the live view shows the world filling in as it happens.
Explore what is around you
Zoom into your region to see who crochets nearby, open a profile to read someone’s little note, and send a heart when a maker makes you smile. Search a city to plan a trip, or simply look up the places you are curious about. Yarn shops, festivals, teachers and local groups belong to the same community, so the map is both a discovery tool and a reminder that you are never the only one stitching in your area.
Sharing, safely
Share your dot, a screenshot or the live view wherever you like. This map is made to be shown. Only what you choose to publish is public: your approximate city, your display name, your avatar and your optional links. Keep your personal management link private, and if a profile ever looks wrong, tell us so we can take a look.
